Brain BEE Lab
Behavior - Entrainment - Encephalography
Your billions of neurons "talk" to each other via electrical signals.
What could we learn about the brain if we recorded this electrical chatter? How could we change attention and cognition if we manipulated these electrical messages?
Our research
Using electroencephalography (EEG), we measure brain waves while participants perform neuropsychiatric tests. What can these brain waves tell us about how well participants perform on the test? What can we infer about the neural communication that is going on in the brain while they take the tests?
Using transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), we manipulate the electric communication in the brain while participants perform neuropsychiatric tests. Can we make them perform better by boosting neural communication? Can we make them perform worse by inhibiting neural communication?
